Connecticut Hemp-Derived CBD & THC Product Guide (21+ Only)

This page is here to explain, in plain language, who we serve, what we sell, and how Connecticut’s hemp rules affect what you can buy from us. It’s written for adults 21 and over.

This is general information only, not legal advice. Laws change often. Always check official State of Connecticut sources or your own attorney for formal guidance.

Hemp vs. “Cannabis” in Connecticut

Under federal law and Connecticut law, “hemp” generally means cannabis plants and products that stay within very low THC thresholds, while “cannabis” means higher-THC products that fall under the adult-use/medical cannabis system.

In practical terms for our customers:

  • Hemp-derived CBD products are made from hemp and are formulated to stay within the limits for hemp products.

  • Hemp-derived THC products are also made from hemp, but they contain more THC than typical CBD-only items. These products are subject to stricter rules in Connecticut, especially around THC milligrams per serving, age limits, and where they can be sold.

Connecticut has recently tightened its rules around “moderate-THC hemp” and certain infused beverages. Some categories of hemp products can now only be sold by licensed cannabis establishments or businesses that hold a specific registration with the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP).

We operate within the hemp rules that apply to our business and do not operate as a state-licensed marijuana dispensary.

What You’ll Find in Our Store

Here’s how to think about the types of products you’ll see when you shop with us:

  • CBD-only and low-THC hemp products
These are products where CBD is the focus and THC levels are kept within hemp limits. Examples on our site include:

    • CBD Gummies

    • CBD Chocolates & Caramels

    • CBD Oils & Tinctures

    • CBD Topicals & Salves
These are aimed at adults looking for non-intoxicating or very low-intensity options.

  • Hemp-derived THC products for adults 21+
These products are formulated for a mild to moderate psychoactive effect and are for adults 21 and over only. Connecticut has created categories like “moderate-THC hemp” and set THC-per-serving and THC-per-package limits; compliance with those rules determines what we can carry and how we can sell it.
On our website, you’ll see these as:

    • THC Gummies & Edibles

    • THC Chocolates & Caramels

    • THC Vapes & Disposables

  • Non-infused bakery items
We also sell Non-Infused Bakery Items (no CBD or THC added). These are regular food items and are not regulated as hemp or cannabis products.

  • Other hemp-adjacent wellness products
From time to time we may carry Mushroom & Adaptogen Products or other plant-based items that do not contain THC and are not regulated as cannabis. Each product page makes clear what is and isn’t in the item.

When you see product pages on our site, the strength, cannabinoids, and intended use are explained in the description. Always read the label and description before you buy.

Age Limits, ID, and Who We Sell To

Connecticut’s cannabis and hemp rules are built around 21+ adult use. In line with that:

  • We do not sell hemp-derived THC products to anyone under 21.

  • We require valid ID for in-store purchases of THC products.

  • We do not encourage or allow use by minors, and we do not market products in packaging designed to appeal to children.

Even for CBD-only products, we reserve the right to refuse a sale if we believe a product is being purchased for someone underage.

Nothing on this site or in our store is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always speak with a qualified healthcare professional before using CBD or THC products, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or have any medical condition.

Shipping, States, and Product Availability

Hemp-related laws vary state by state, and they are changing constantly. Some items:

  • Can be sold only within Connecticut,

  • Can be shipped to some states but not others, or

  • Are not shipped at all and are available in-store only.

On our website, we are working toward a system where checkout will automatically:

  • Block restricted products from being shipped to states where they are not allowed.

  • Clearly show when a product is “In-Store Only (CT)”.

Until every technical control is in place, we still reserve the right to:

  • Cancel or adjust orders that cannot legally be fulfilled to a given state.

  • Contact you if an item in your cart is not permitted for shipment to your address.

If in doubt, you can always focus on CBD-only products and Non-Infused Bakery Items, which generally face fewer shipping restrictions than hemp-derived THC products.

Lab Testing, Packaging, and Safety

Connecticut requires that hemp products for human consumption be manufactured under a license and be tested by an independent laboratory to confirm potency and compliance with THC limits.

For products we sell:

  • We rely on third-party lab testing (COAs) from licensed manufacturers to confirm cannabinoid content and compliance.

  • We prioritize child-resistant and tamper-evident packaging where required or appropriate.

  • We do not knowingly stock products that mimic children’s candy brands, cartoons, or other kid-targeted imagery, in line with Connecticut’s push against youth-appealing packaging and illegal cannabis sales.

Always store THC products locked away and out of reach of children and pets. Start with a low dose and wait long enough to feel the full effect before taking more.
